Show Page 2 The Millard County Gazette - August 17 2004 Cmtet pj 9 Local Artist Wins Photography Awards Photography Award the Photographer as well as of Merit Award Shameka Stuckey received from the recognition of International Society Photographers recently for her work in original photography Shameka’s work was selected by established photographers to the receive Outstanding in Achievement Amateur She was presented with a silver bowl for the Outstanding Achievement Award and a medal for the Merit Award She was also invited to be guest convenspeaker at a week-lontion in Washington D C where her work was blown up to 20 feet high and placed on display but regrets that she was unable to attend Shameka is very excited about these awards "These judges take photographs for magazines like 'National Geographic so I consider this a huge honor to have even been considered I mean these guys really know their stuff’ It is a real honor to have been the one selected for these awards Her work has also in the been included Photographic anthology “The Road Unforeseen" Shameka is the daughter of Rozann and Larry Stuckey of Community First Sponsors Clothing Drive the Community First Main Street Community Center will be proiding it’s annual USED GENTLY FREE CLOTHING FOR BACK TO SCHOOL on Friday August 20 7 from pm at the Millard County Fair Building If you are in need of a few' more items for your children as school begins join us and feel free to help yourself to some very nice items that has e been donated If you have gently used cloth- ing you’d like to donate for this purpose they can be dropped off at Jackie Nielson’s home 340 N 100 E Delta taken to the Center at 305 W Main during the hours of 3: 15 - 6:00 pm or taken to the Fair Building the morning of the 20th Thanks to all those who support us in this worthwhile effort!
