32 Kearns UT was arrested at mp 175 by Trooper Mike Thomas Huizar was driving a green 1990 Pontiac Grand Pnx when he was stopped for speeding 97 miles per hour in a 75 zone Thomas could smell alcohol coming from inside the vehicle and then determined that Huizar was too impaired to drive Huizar had 2 small children in the vehicle with him and also has had 4 previous DLT Huizar was transported to jail and charged into 4th District Court with convictions ClassAMisd DUI and Class C Misd speeding Huizar was later seen by Judge Hare for a bail hearing where he set bait at $500 Huizar later posted a bond and was released pending a court appearance on the 7th of June 9 21pm Christopher Dean Clark 22 Las Vegas NV was arrested at mp 179 by Reserve Deputy Nathan Tingey Clark was driving a silver 2001 Pontiac Grand Am when he was stopped for speeding 94 miles per hour in a 75 zone A license check showed that Clark was driving on a suspended license Clark was transported to jail and charged into East Millard Justice Court with Class B Misd driving on suspension and Class CMisd speeding Clark later posted a $360 bond on the charges and was released pending a court appearance Wednesday May 30 th 3 30 p m Samuel Traxler Stuart 22 Orem UT was transported from Utah County Jail by LT Forest Roper East Millard Justice Court had issued a warrant for Stuart in the amount of $370 for failing to appear on a traffic charge Stuart was later seen by Judge Hare and was ordered released after agreeing to conditions set by Hare Thursday May 31st 8 00 p m Kns Lynn Kennedy 58 Redmond WA was arrested on near Holden by Trooper Rod Elmer Kennedy was driving a gold 1984 Honda Accord when she was stopped for driving erratically A license check show ed that Kennedy had a suspended drivers license Kennedy was transported to jail and charged into East Millard Justice Court with Class B Misd driving on Suspension Kennedy was later seen by Judge Hare where bail was set at $300 Kennedy later posted Mortensen was driving a blue 1996 Plymouth Neon when she was stopped for speeding 90 miles per hour in a 75 zone A license check on Mortensen showed that she had a suspended drivers license because of a failure to appear warrant out of East Millard Justice Court Mortensen was transported to jail on the warrant and charged into East Millard Justice Court with Class B Misd driving on suspension and Class C Misd speeding Mortensen later posted $470 cash bail and was released pending a court appearance 10 20 p m Michelle Lynne Rhodes 27 Bullhead City AZand David Michael Lindsey 46 Bullhead City AZ were arrested at Rhodes was driving a yellow mp 155 by Trooper Rod Elmer 1995 Pontiac when she was stopped for a erratic driving pattern A license check showed that Rhodes had a suspended drivers the license Elmer searched vehicle and found w hat appeared to be numerous drugs and drug paraphernalia Elmer then found what appeared to be a methamphetamine lab and the some of the elements needed to make methamphetamine Rhodes the driv er and Lindsey the Passenger were transported to jail with Rhodes being charged into 4th District Court with possession of a methamphetamine lab a 2nd Degree felony possession of precursors a 2nd Degree Felony possession of methamphetamine a 3rd Degree Felony possession of marijuana a Class B Misd possession of drug paraphernalia a Class B Misd driving on a suspended cense a Class B Misd and unsafe lane travel a Class C Misd Lindsey was charged into 4th District Court with possession of a methamphetamine lab a 2nd Degree felony possession of precursors a 2nd Degree Felony possession of methamphetamine a 3rd Degree Felony possession of marijuana a Class B Misd and possession of drug paraphernalia a Class B Misd Both subjects are being held without bail pending a court appearance on June 7th 15 pm Aaron Walter Ridgley 29 Delta was arrested in Delta by Deputy Mike Turner Turner was dispatched to Delta City Park because of a noise complaint Turner located Ridgley in the park very intoxicated and carrying 2 cans of alcohol Tumcr then located a pipe used to smoke marijuana on Ridgley A records check showed that Ridgley had a warrant in the amount of $790 out of Washington County Justice Court for failing to appear on traffic charges Ridgley was transported tojail on the warrant and charged into 4thDistnct court with Class A Misd possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug free zone and Class C Misd intoxication Ridgley was later seen by Judge Hare where bail was set at $500 on the local charges Ridgley is still in jail pending the posting of his bail Sunday June 3rd 12 28 am Oliver Eugene Byars 34 Mesquite NV was arrested at mp 154 by Deputy Rhctt Kimball and Reserve Deputy Nathan T mgey Byars was driving a vehicle that matched a suspect vehicle in a gas skip that had just occurred Deputies stopped the vehicle and a records check on Byars showed that he had 6 warrants out of St George and Cedar City for a total of $16750 When the deputies attempted to arrest Byars he pled on foot across the freeway and into a field where he was again taken into custody by Kimball and Tingey A license check also showed that Byars had a suspended drivers license Byars was transported to jail on the warrants and charged into 4th District Court with escape by a prisoner a 3rd Degree felony evading a 3rd Degree Felony and local charges resisting arrest a Class B Misd Judge Hare later set bail at $5000 on Byars Byars has yet to post bail and will appear in court on June 7th II 10 am Matthew Fllis Jones 22 Salem OR was arrested at mp scene and matched it to the DNA of a suspect in the case The team also aided Beaver City in obtaining physical evidence at the scene of a murdered young lady that lead to the arrest and conviction of the murderer and aided Beaver City again by obtaining evidence that convicted the criminal John Chambers who shot Deputy Sheriff Shcr and killed his dog The forensic team has assisted Juab County on three homicides The team has assisted the St George SherifT sOfficeby investigating a murder of a young lady in a store on the w est end of town and was then taken to the east end of town Reconstruction of the blood spatter pattern at the crime scene and old fashion detective work lead to an arrest and conviction Richfield City had a scries of major burglaries Masner lifted finger prints from some of the crime scenes which led to the perpetrators Most of the property was recovered and returned to the original owners Dckker said crime scene evidence is carefully collected not LAKE CITY - Two adult bald eagles and their three baby eaglets will be the center of attention June 14 and 16 during Division of Wildlife Resources Watchable Wildlife field trips near the southeast shore of the Great Salt Lake The trips will leave at 6 p m each evening from the Department of Natural Resources 594 W North Temp c in Salt LakeCity There H no cost to Lparticipate but reservations are required To reserve a spot call Bob Walters W'atchable Wildlife program coordinator for the Division of Wildlife Resources at (801 ) Participants will follow Walters in their vehicles traveling on mostly paved roads to the viewing site He'll have at least two spotting scopes and some binoculars available but encourages participants to bring their own if they have them “It’ll be warm so dress
