club promotes excellence in the technical field in which the student is rolled and especially leadership qualities in the vocation Students around the nation have benefited from membership in the record and a regon record of placing them in fourth They will travel to St George to play Pine View for state playoffs on Fn Feb 8 at 7 00 p m Delta lost to Richfield last week 41 “k e held the lead State wrestles Just last summer this freshman took w estem regionals This wonder boy is Chris Abbott “Being a freshman and having the opportunity to take state three more years is believable” said Chris He’s wTestled along w ith the rest of the Abbott boy s even his brother since they werejust little tykes Older brother Jake Abbott was wrestling varsity at state this year On the first day of the tournament Jake his elbow tearing a ligament that keeps his elbow from inverting During the match Jake’s elbow went backwards but he still won the match and wrestled Frt He lost Fn’s match and took fourth place Jake is excited for his brother Chris “He's a stud and ust a good wrestler" said Jake V resiling against another Delta Rabbit is not an unusual thing for Delta wrestlers But at state Chris Abbott wrestled Luke Beckstrom “It felt good because Luke’s a good wrestler and it’s a big complishment to beat him” said Chris Luke was another of the Delta wrestlers who was injured during state wrestles In the finals while Luke and Chris wrestled Luke was doing the “cowboy" move and popped his kneecap out of place Luke Beckstrom said “I guess the pressure that was on it snapped it out of place the first time” Luke rolled off Chris and onto the floor The referees coaches and the athletic trainers all looked at Luke’s knee and then Luke continued the match Luke Beckstrom’s kneecap
