Hoard accepted Topham's request to retire after serving as Superintendent for 2fi years His total educational career lated 36 ears "If could choose m career ov er again would not change my decision to come and work here" opham said The Superintendent said people have been very supportive of the programs in the school district He has worked well with the many School Hoards that have come and gone over the years and appreciates their support and the support he has received from his stall' and district ulty and employees "The Millard District is a special place to work" Topham said "It"s been great for my family hope that we've contributed some" Topham said it's time for the school district to move forward with new programs and ideas He said it was difficult coming to the decision to retire Former School Board Member D Scott Sickle was a friend of Topham before being elected to three terms spanning 12 years on the board "I le came into this district follow ing a Superintendent thai had had a great deal of conflict" Sickle said "It was his first responsibility to kind of settle things down Ilewas able to do that At the time of this announcement of his retirement he is the longest served Superintendent in the entire State of Utah" During his years as Superintendent all of opham's children graduated from Vita 1 By 1 11 School High "We fed good about live educatkm they here" Topham said Topham said he and the school district have reached most of the goals they set but there are some goals left to achieve Topham said one of his most important accomplishments was
