young drivers are involved in almost 18 percent of all fatal traffic crashes in Utah the fourth highest rate in the US To help curb this leading cause of death among oung people AAA Utah is joining AAA National in a nationwide campaign called "Licensed to Learn: A Safety Program for New Drivers" Nationally more than 6300 drivers and passengers ages 15 to 20 died in traffic crashes in 996 -- an average of more than 7 deaths each day Fatalities could soar more than to 7500 per year by 2012 as the number of young 20 per day drivers increases by 25 percent in the next 15 years In all fatal crashes in the United States drivers poinvolving 5 to 20 lice reports show driver error or other factors related to driver behavior as the cause of 76 percent of the crashes AAA Utah says most crashes
