Through these laws I am compelled to pay state sales tax federal income tax business and operating tax property tax amusement tax stadium tax gasoline tax sewer tax computer tax phone tax and numerous otlier excise taxes that don't have a clue about either am required to have a business license a drivers license motor vehicle truck license motorcycle license and a license for my dog Last weekend my son was married and had to help him buy a marriage license For my own safety am told must insurance liability insurance collision insurance theft insurance fire insurance flood surance burglary insurance accident surance business insurance unemployment insurance and Social Security and Medicare insurance It seems my little business is governed so much by others that often wonder who owns it am inspected expected suspected disrespected rejected examined informed required commanded and compelled until I provide an inexhaustible supply of information and funding for about every known need desire or hope of every government agency if it wasn't for a terrible tragHonestly edy I could not have enclosed this check A dear relative died a few years ago and I was given a nice inheritance The estate was finally settled and after the family finished paying the attorneys for the probate costs the court costs were paid and estate taxes were settled was left with just enough to pay your bill Is it possible that could be required to pay taxes on my inheritance too? If so would you please send it back as soon as possible? Sincerely yours IM Broke Dear Editor: Help! Where are all of the talented writers in Millard Count)? What are the solutions to a steadily growing national debt now in the trillions of dollars? How do we shrink government cut taxes and not hurt the “little guy?" do not believe the answer is cut and dry Unlike many don't believe the government should just cut people off and let them fend for themselves With many jobs going overseas for extremely low wages what are individuals and families going to do when they are cut off of the welfare rolls and don’t have a job to go to? challenge anybody to tell me it's not their problem believe that when Cain in the Biblical book of Genesis asked God “Am my brother's keeper?" that the answer was a resounding “Yes!" That being the case before we look at cutting off those who need help let’s come up with some ideas on how to help the poor Once a contingency plan is formed then cut the welfare system agree that government really shouldn’t be the instrument for social welfare We the people of the United States should be the ones to voluntarily help those in need think the biggest cost to poor families is the staggering cost of health care While am not in favor of Socialized medicine do believe hospitals and doctors should either voluntarily or by force lower their prices to reasonable levels When it costs $5000 to $10000 for a week’s stay in the hospital something’s wrong The cost of hospitalization can break even a family without health insurance and tlie st of health insurance is getting out of reach Welfare reform will not work unless the citizens of our country come together decide they are their brother’s keeper and develop a private to voluntary system help families get on their feet To cut families off of the system and leave them in the cold is in my opinion criminal Is there an organization that can help my youth develop leadership skills?
