issue of the Chronicle Progress Id an article about the school board’s decision to allow cheerleaders to continue to wear short skirts Gardner was quoted as suggesting that instead of forcing girls to wear longer skirts or “day uniforms" the school district should come up with a way to train girls in the proper way to carry themselves Gardner clarified she does not advocate setting up a special program or class but thinks if girls have a problem which leads to immodesty they should talk to their advisors Gardner said the advisors could then teach the girls the proper way to carry themselves Last week’s report also stated that Gardner was a cheerleader when she tended Millard High School Gardner was not a cheerleader The point she was trying to make was that when she attended Millard High
