Club International Convention (Salt Palace Center) and many more Congratulations to Elva Richman who received the “Life Saver Award” and a ruby pin at the Division Board of Directors meeting on April 23 This award is given once a year lo one Public Education volunteer per Division It is presented for outstanding service in saving lives from cancer Richman of Fillmore was nominated and elected for her more than 12 years of service to the American Cancer Society in Millard County She has served as Public Education Chairperson and Chapter President several times during the 12 year period She has also been the Chairperson for the Community Crusade Richman has caught most of the youth m Millard County and nearly every one of the youth in her area have been reached w ith tobacco and nutrition programs at least every other year Richman has reached over 5000 people most of them more than once She gives all the credit toothers who have w orked w ith her over the years but the American Cancer Society salutes her for keeping the Public Education programs going in her Unit On November IV 1991 at the annual meeting of the National Public Education Committee in Atlanta Elva’s name and picture were Merlenc Olsen graduated at the top of her class on June 12 1992 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in and a Certificate in Criminology While at the University of Utah she was named a Kennecott
