Hellenbrand Truck driver Corwyn Taylor got the surprise of his young life when he and the 1975 Kenworth truck he was driving suddenly went airborne 5 The truck was travelling south on and left the freeway at mile post 158 between Fillmore and Meadow at 7:38 in the morning of May 24th The truck was carrying a full load of bags of dry drilling mud compound and was property of JAK Hot Shot & Repair out of Vernal Utah Taylor states he heard a loud explosion and believes he blew out his front tires "I did what I had always been told to do" he said I held on the wheel and tried to keep the Remodeling Contract Awarded Shooting Reported Kate Hellenbrand On the evening of May 26th Spencer Shurtz fell asleep on the floor of his trailer home at 6915 North 2000 West while watching TV He was abruptly awakened at 3:00 am by what sounded like shotgun blasts He ran outside his trailer to investigate and heard a vehicle pull away from his property at a high speed Shurtz gave chase for several miles at speeds between 60 and 70 miles per hour un til he got close enough to recognize the vehicle and the driver He returned to his home and called the Sheriff s department Deputy Shcnff Roper responded to the call Lester Anderson was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of criminal mischief and one count of reckless driving Bail was set at SI 500 and Mr Anderson was released on Naylor vice president of Silver Naylor & Associates opened and disclosed bid information from bidders Silver Naylor A Associates Holliday Utah are architects for the project Bids ranged from S840614 to SI 073000 with the average bid settling around 950 000 “The asbestos removal portion of the project could be the reason most of the bids were higher than e had expected" said Naylor “but e think Keller’s is " nght on the money Work on the project is expected to begin immediately Ben Mark maintenance supervisor for the Millard School District stated the work was needed to meet upgraded fire codes and safety standards Gass rooms and corridors will be affected as well as the computer room the cafeteria and the media center “The work has to be completed by August 15th as teachers begin to
