children from Henderson NV John and Jana Whicker and 4 children Payson Paula and Kendall Qu am berg from Aurora On Sat Nov 24 the family of Adams including children grandchildren and great grandchildren met for a post Thanksgiving dinner at the Pahvant Senior Center Present for an afternoon of games visiting and food were Nan Ben Smithchildren Jennifer Jason Dustin Melanie Brian and B “Scott" Chesley age 82 life long resident of Millard County died Thursday November 29 1990 at Delta after a short illness He was bom April 19 1908 at Richfield Utah the oldest son of Charles Fredrick and Annie Esther Chesley He married Nona Pearson April 22 1930 at Beaver Utah He graduated from Millard High School in 1926 Attended BYU and graduated from Hcnegcrs Business College He was employed by Union Pacific Railroad and operated the local Standard Oil distributorship Always interested in geology and prospecting he owned and operated the Fluorine Queen Mines In later years he was also a successful fanner He served as Judge and Justice of the Peace for m any years and as an officer for the local chapter of the Utah Cattlemen’s Association As an avid sportsman he loved fishing and hunting and held three State Champion Archery titles An expert in West Desert geology he loved trilobitc hunting and learned the art of rock cutting creating many beautiful objects from the rocks he gathered Above all he was a great example of love and compassion for his family and friends He was a member of the LDS Church He is survived by his wife Delta LaRae and Daughters and Shirley
