Show figflg 5 Hillard County Chronicle Progress October 26 1969 From V ) yf v 0 (he : COYOTE’S DEN Coyote The road ol wayl tfe it paved fth kindness beauty and truth Mr Gerald Richards and three of his “Birds Vietnam Veterans Memorial visited Fourth Grade students from Delta South Elementary enjoyed their annual fall field day in Salt Lake City The Hanson Planetarium was the first stop A film on space travel entitled Footsteps " was enjoyed by all We then visited the Utah State Capitol building The young sters were able to see the spacious rotunda Gold Room Mormon Meteor and the Governor’s Office The highlight of the tour was the newly dedicated Vietnam Memorial just west of the Capitol As we read through the long list of names we found some were from the Millard County area The Hardee 's Drive Inn on 90th South and State provided a free treat (or our students Thanks to all who made this day one we will always remember A Coyote Card thank you and a salute to the people who gave their lives that we might have freedom No trick -- MHS NEWS this is a treat hv Jason i Norlh aooeeeeeeeeeet On Halloween eve Oct 31 1989 a carnival will be held in the Millard High Sohwl cafeteria Everyone is invited to participate in this gala event There will be booths of all kinds games for children prizes best pumpkin contest and live entertainment Besides that a bake sale to tempt even the most rigid calorie counters and there will be food galore Best of all a car has been donated by Deal den Motors to be given away' It is a used Chevy Citation in excellent condition with a brand new paint job You can win this if your $100 donation ticket is drawn Tickets will also be sold at the local businesses Be sure to buy some Proceeds from this carnival will go to help the Millard High School Selgaes drill team HARVEST On Monday October 16 1989 Mr Gerald Richards visited the Delta North Elementary studentbody with his “Birds of Prey” assembly The students were spellbound with his many bird experiences The assembly incuded a lecture short slide presentation and demonstrations by the birds themselves Mr Richards had three varieties of birds to share with the students ITiey included a falcon Little League basketball to begin to register for the Little Basketball Program!
