married Fred Scottorn July 2 1946 in Fillmore and the marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple Joyce had lived in Fillmore all her life and was devoted to this community She offered years of service in numerous organizations She had been District President and held all other Post Offices in the American Legion Auxiliary she had served as an officer in the Fillmore Garden Club was an active member and teacher in the LDS church She was an avid supporter of Millard High School through the years and will be missed at the activities and sports they sponsored She worked in both Fillmore and Delta and loved in those areas Joyce is survived by her husband of Fillmore children-tsons Terry and his wife Takako of Fillmore Steve of Salt Lake City and a daughter Mrs Rozann Stuckey of Fillmore four Chantelle grandchildren: Michael Jonathan Scottorn and Schameka Stuckey a sister Mrs Burke (Holly) Parriott of Salt Lake City She was loved and will be missed by all Funeral services Rutherford Chapp Sept 3 1946 in Sonora California As a child he spent numerous summers in Kanosh In 1920 he moved to California and graduated from USC He was an aeronautical engineer and one of the 13 original engineers who started Douglas Aircraft Corp in Santa Monica CA After retirement he moved to Kanosh in 1964 and resided there until his death He served as a Justice of the Peace for 10 years
