Thomas William and Rose Bartholomew Peterson and was born and raised in Fillmore and graduated from Millard High School Lula is the daughter of Edward and Estelle Ashby Bennett and was born and raised in Holden and attended Millard High School Lawrence and Lula lived the first five years in Salt Lake where Lawrence worked as a florist Then they made their home in Fillmore Lawrence has spent most of his life raising wheat hay and angus cattle Along with his farming Lawrence and Lula owned and operated the Peterson Floral for more than 25 years They also worked many years in the Fillmore Garden Club Lawrence and Lula have spent many hours doing temple work Lula has served in Relief Society and Primary presidencies and a teacher for several auxiliaries Lawrence served as Bishop of the scholarship be used to pulverize foods too small to put in a blender The results are in and the fine people of East Millard have again opened their hearts and pocketbooks to the Residential Crusade of the American Cancer Society Darlene Kindred accepted the challenge of chairing the crusade doing a fine job She held a training meeting for her area chairmen on April 15 It was stressed at this meeting the importance of training volunteers so that they could answer questions which might be asked during the volunteer visits This year the emphasis of the Crusade was on Breast Cancer and volunteers stressed the importance of early detection through BSE and mamthe local hospitals also mograms helped in the publicity by offering mammograms at a lower cost than any place in the state Due to the publicity of the Residential Crusade and the Cancer Screening Clinics held in the county in recent weeks the mammography umt at the hospital has noted increased usage and some biopsies have
