walk on Saturday April 26 The day was stormy and cold enough to discourage children as well us adults Because of rain the walkers used a shortened route Those brave enough to defy the weather finished with the satisfying thought they had contributed well According to Mr Davies two of the w inners were cousins They arc Am bet Darnell of the Fillmore Elementary School and lives in Fillmore 1st place winner Her pledge total was $21 161 Dustan Starley of Meadow and of the Fillmoc Middle School who had not intended to walk on his doctor’s adv ice could not resist the fun and citement and walked a team walk of employees and their families who raised $5000 Bob Sanderson of Zion’s 1st National Bank did the registration and Calvin and Fay Kessler served the food to the hungry hikers The Fillmore Packing Co furnished the hot dogs Mr Davies expresses his appreciation to all those who walked and solicited pledges and helped in any way for this worthy cause Also he would remind anyone who has not
