Show i Page 12 - Millard Count) ABRAHAM Phyllis Johnson Ph: Early in January Von and Marilyn Tenney had a nice trip to Arizona and Texas They drove to Mesa where they visited Marilyn’s sister Ruth I anioreaux Trom Mesa they went to Red Rock Arizona to spend a few days with Clay and Ronella W hite and two children While they were there Tom and Sandy Tenney came from ogan Marilyn and Ronella took them to the Mexican border and they went into Mexico where they planned to spend 10 days Von and Marilyn's next stop was The Colony Texas to sec Bruce and Sherry! Tenney and twin boys Bruce had to go to New York for a week so they stayed with Sherryl and the twins while he was gone After they had been home a few day s Von entered the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake W'e hope he will soon be home feeling fine again Charlene Brunner is able to be home to recuperate She still has a long road to recovery Her daughter Jamie and husband Robin Riley are staying with her to help with her care Neno and Shirley Schena recently teturned from a vacation They visited Ben and Virginia Schena in Overton NV and spent a couple of days in Las Vegas In Los Angeles they visited Ree and Mary Schena They went to San Diego where they spent some time with former Delta residents Brian and Cindy Rumsey The Rumseys took them to Mexico and to the San Diego Zoo They enjoyed their trip but report it’s always good to get home Ned and Gladys l oveless have also been traveling to visit their children They drove to Dallas T where they met Kurt and Hilda loveless and children They went through the LDS Temple with Kurt and Hilda to have their little adopted daughter sealed to them They went with Kurt and Hilda to their home in Harlingen TX and had the chance to spend a little time with Elder Rick Lowles in McAllen 1 hey visited a few days with their son Btyce and wife Darlene and children in Cot pus Christi Thev arrived home on Jan 21 A week ago Ned and Gladys oveless were in Orem at the home of Matk and Dell oveless Kay Loveless has received her call to fill a mission for the DS Church She will serve in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia mission and will enter the MTC on March 27 Sherman and Gladys Tolbert attended the awards program of the Utah County Cheatrc Guild in Orem Their 13 old daughter Connie year Mclarland was nominated and won the award for the outstanding child t a nice liter She was awarded trophy She is the daughter of A1 and Dorothy McFarland A couple of weeks ago Mike and aPriel Mortensen went to St George to attend the wrestling matches They spent time in Cedar City with Sid and Janice and boys on the way They went LYNNDYL Connie Best Ph: 857-236- 2 Cora Carrington spent a couple of days in Spanish Fork visiting her sisters and brother She had her son Roland and family down on the weekend from Eureka to Gary and Mary Congratulations Sue Dutson on the birth of their son on Monday morning Mary Johnson spent some time in r I SPS Thurx Ffb 6 1986 to the wrestles with Karl and Eleanor On Sunday they drove to Murray Snow Canyon and had a picnic They must have named that canyon after a person instead of the weather Leone and Erma Croft spent a few days last week here to sec Mary Anderson in the West Millard Care Center Mrs Anderson isn’t very well at this time The Crofts also visited the Garland Johnsons and the Ike Andersons Trula Abbott was pleased to have Arlene Chappell and daughter Christine spend a weekend with her The next week granddaughters Linda Croft and Cory McLatchcy and baby Mac came from Salt Lake to spend the weekend with Trula Jim and Maxenc Owens spent a couple of days up north with Lenny and Janet Owens and children and Doug and Marjorie LaBrccque While there they visited Ruth Anderson in Ogden Ruth is recovering from surgery They also visited Russell Jackson in the Payson Hospital He is recovering from knee surgery Our good friend and former neighbor Margeret Taylor celebrated her 90th birthday on Jan 27 Margeret lives in Arizona by her daughter Barbara She takes care of her home and takes her daily walks On January 26 Earl and Afton Petersen and Velma Talbot went to Benjamin to hear Basil and Gerry Talbot their mission The report Talbots served in Florida Earl Afton and Velma also went to the Utah Valley Hospital to see Lynn Petersen Lynn has had more skin grafting but should be home by now Sherrill and Joyce Tolbert and family recently went ice fishing at Otter Creek Reservoir They didn’t catch any fish but others did Joyce said it was a lot of fun Sherrill and Joyce Tolbert are busy getting the Delta High School Rodeo Club organized The club is trying to get sponsors for the State Finals and they are raising money to buy a bucking machine for the club They will be working at the Jr Livestock Barn on Feb and 12 and twice a week from then on The club will sponsor a horsebreaking and saddle clinic the latter part of February The clinic w ill be open to the public and should be very interesting Tina Tolbert and her roommate went to Las Vegas to the World Championship Cow Cutting Contest last week Karla Corry and two girls came on Jan 30 to stay overnight with Betty Johnson On Friday Betty went back to Santaquin with Karla and on to Orem where she witnessed the baptism and confirmation of her grandLiza Bauer Liza is the daughter daughter of Kim and Cropper and four children from Greely CO Bobbie Wood received a phone call from Shelly Kupfer of Cedar City last Saturday announcing the birth of a Jan 28 He baby boy on Tuesday weighed 8 lbs 5 oz and will be named Jeffery He has a big sister Sadie Jane at home to welcome him Chris and Shelly are both teaching school in Cedar City this year A baby shower for Mrs Bryce Monsen was given last Saturday at the home of her Chris Monsen The new baby girl was the next day and given the name of Vanessa Many friends and relatives were at church for this special occasion The baby daughter of Ken and Linda
