Richard and Maralee Ohran of Provo and Lorna Young of West attended the funeral of Joyce Carling at Bountiful Mr & Mrs Eugene Young spent Christmas in West Jordan with Danny and Lorna Young and family They also visited with Richard and Maralee Ohran and boys in Provo during the holidays Mr & Mrs Eugene Young and daughter Maralee Ohran attended the memorial service for Leroy “Tom” M Hersh who died in the Wilberg Coal Mine at East Carbon Mr Hersh is the father of the Young’s Bruce Hersh A sad occasion for all who have the same experience David and Margo Wilde of Croydon and boys spent Christmas and New Years holidays with folks Heber and Dora Rose We all enjoyed reading the letters written by their son who is serving his mission in the Fort Lauderdale Tlorida Mission Melvin and Carmen Hepworth spent the holidays with folks We all attended the Christmas Cantata in the Delta Third Ward It was a pleasure and a great satisfaction to see Doctor Bird still singing in the choir and now he will not be with us any more He will be missed greatly by all people in the community and remembered by all for the goodness of his worthy performances for his charitable and tender interest he exhibited to all his patients Many worthy causes he could lay claim to establishing and many people can contribute their heartfelt appreciation for the many laborous hours Dr Bird spent in their behalf May we all keep sight of the untiring sacrifices he made that we might enjoy the priviledge of improved health and soothed nerves May his memory be felt for good always and for ages to come He
