couple through their son John who served an LDS mision in that area Mrs Elda Steuerwald visited her son John wife & daughter in Las Vegas is here Mrs Juanita Charlsworth with daughter Iris Bond She is very active at 90 accompanying Iris on walks from her home to the post office and back a distance of a mile Mr Kent Beckstrand spent a week here recently helping with some fall work on his farm during the holiday Sacrament was conducted by Councelor Jim Beckstrand was sustained as Ward Labrum as Financial Clerk-- at girls award night Natalie Burns Carma Bond and Sherril Bond received special awards Daniel Bond reported on his mission a letter was read from his mission President Edward Bennett (son of Jeannie Bennett of Fillmore) Daniel’s father and mother both gave short by Sharia Starley and son Dustin Dathy Burns daughter Cristin High councilman Robert Nielson Daniel’s two Uncles and families grandparents from Beaver attended and ld Loyd and Pam Nadine Beckstrand along with Nadine and two sisters & husbands attended sessions in the Provo Temple It was the three ladies birthdays so they went out to a birthday dinner Mrs Leo Stott and baby spent Thanksgiving in he San Francisco area with her family Ben Laurel and Doug Stott went to Gunnison to the Lynn McArthers home for Thanksgiving The Junior Bond’s spent the holiday in Salt Lake City Mrs Stanley Pearson spent the holiday in Nephi and Salt Lake City with their children Roma Bird’s daughter Marilyn and sons from Riverside Calif daughter Farris from Salt Lake and grand daughter from BYU were here for the holiday Lola Bushnell attended her brother Floyd’s Golden Wedding reception at their home in Salt Lake City Sacrament was conducted by Bishop Robison was DeLyle released as YMMA President and Quoram Advisor with vote of thanks David Rose was sustained in this position Vern Stewart was sustained as coach for boys basketball High Councilman Mario Mace and family were the speakers sons and Mary Ella Robison’s families were here for the holiday Dean and Evelyn Mallet travelled to Spokane Wash to spend a week with their daughter and family Francine and Douglas and Cowie and 4 boys Since both Evelyn and Doug had birthdays the 21 and 22 they celebrated them on Thanksgiving day along with giving thanks Alma Rhodes had her daughter LeAnn Holm and children from Colorado City Arizona and sister Barbara Roundy and children from Idaho for Thanksgiving Montegue day They also stayed for the weekend and celebrated 6 birthdays while there £ Murray and Berna Davies enjoyed having their family home for Thanksgiving The children and grandchildren were Gary and Pat Davies and family Steve and Sheryl Davies and their five daughters of Provo June and Steve Kelly and their five children of Fillmore Dan and Kelly Davies and their son of Fillmore and Lynn and Lynette Bond and their two children of Meadow There were thirty guests who joined the Thanksgiving festivities at the Davies home On Saturday evening Nov 24 Murray and Berna enjoyed the company of Cecil Curley and his wife Yuvone of Calif Anaheim They became acquainted with Cecil while they were serving a LDS mission in Guam Vonda Peterson cooked a Thanksgiving dinner for members of her family They were her sister Bill and her husband Marguerite Manhart of Richfield Larry and Kayle Peterson and their daughter Tiffany of Nephi and Penny Peterson of Salt is Vonda’s Lake Penny grand daughter On Friday Nov 23 Gary Peterson and his wife Letha and their baby of Provo came and stayed overnight with Vonda They had spent Thanksgiving with Letha’s parents in Delta On Nov 22 Dean Robison and Karen Groesbeck drove to Richfield to spend the day with Dean’s daughter and her husband Paul Beverly Groesbeck and their family Eight of their nine children bring the total to 22 children and grandchildren attending Thanksgiving dinner at the Groesbecks Their son Micheal and wife and famiCalif were able to ly of Torrence spend a few days of their vacation enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday with the Groesbecks in Richfield Kirby and Rita Giles and family drove to Ogden on Thursday Nov 22 and spent Thanksgiving day with Rita’s parents Mr & Mrs Harmon Campbell Also joining the festivities were Rita’s two brothers Joel Campbell who is attending Ricks College and Jeff Campbell and his wife The Giles family stayed overnight returning home on Friday Ula Maycock of Fillmore and Natalee Teeples and her two sons Trever and Tyler of Holden flew to San Francisco Nov 3 then on to San Calif where they visited Mateo Natalee’s mother Coleen Burnham Ula stayed one week then went to Seattle Wash to visit her son Loy and his She spent the wife Carol Maycock Thanksgiving holidays with them then returned to San Francisco where she met Natalee and her two children They spent a few days with Ula’s sister Lanette Knuedler and family in Redwood City before returning home Friday Nov 23 Delell Brunson cooked Thanksgiving dinner for members of her family They were her son Rollo his wife Rae and their children Vallery and Henry Brunson of Cedar City They came on Thursday and spent the weekend cleaning Delell’s yard and getting everything ready for winter Myrtle Beauregard went to Tooele on Wednesday Nov 21 and spent the Thanksgiving weekend with her son Barth Beauregard and his family Joining the family were children grandchildren and two Zina Hunter and Letha Hogan went to Springville with Lona Huntsman for the Thanksgiving holidays They stayed in Springville at the home of Zina’s son Reed and his wife Jan Hunter and their family and Lona went on to Pleasant Grove to be with her son Almie his wife Cathie and their family Everett L and Erna Murphy who have recently completed an LDS mission in Houston Texas spent a month with three sisters and a Mrs June Bird Maida Walton Maxine Adamson and her husband Delbert They met in Houston Texas and went by motorhome to the World’s Fair in New Orleans spent a few days there than came back to Galvaston Texas where they spent a few days sightseeing then went on to San Antonio Tex spending a few days there They took the River Walk and visited the Alamo and other places of interest including the Mexican Village From there they went to Odessa Tex where they attended the farewell and homecoming of two grandsons Phillip Addington returning from a mission in Anaheim Calif and Jim Hassell who will be serFrom there they in Peru mission a ving visited the Carlsbad Caverns then on to Santa Fe New Mexico and to Mesa Arizona where they spent a few days and did some Temple work On to Flagstaff Page Arizona then home They traveled 3200 miles arriving home Oct 29 They will be giving their report Dec 9 at 2:45 pm at the Fourth All of their family will be Ward 50 in all Daisy Lee Colledge had her son & wife (LaVar & Cathy Colledge and 2 children) also her daughter & husband Ceicilia and Gunnar O’Hare and their 3 boys for Thanksgiving day Her parents Daisy and Noah Roger brother Jay Rogers and nephew Keith Brunson and his boy Brian also were welcomed Her into her home for Thanksgiving daughter Teresa & husband David Hardy and 2 boys from Lynndyl spent Sunday with her
