The theme of the program will be The Kingdom of God is Within You. Student speakers will be Weston Peterson, Joan Staffanson, Debbie Little Field, Sheri Williams and Scott Huchins Prelude and Postlude music will be played by Dee Davis Jill Linford will give the invocation and Pat Charleworth the benediction. Ward Patti Berg, Campbell vies for Miss Utah Miss Bonnie Campbell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Campbell will represent North Ogden at the Miss Utah Pageant in June. Bonnie is the reigning Miss North Ogden and as to such, she has the opportunity compete against other Utah women in the Miss Utah Pageant. Bonnie will be giving up her crown and robe to a new Miss North Opden on June 25 as part of the Cherry Days celebration. The contest will be held at the Weber High School Theatre at 8 p m. on June 25 The crown given to Miss North Ogden is a replica of the one worn by Miss America and the cherry red robe was donated last year by Louises Fabrics in North Ogden. This year there will be 16 women participating in the pageant. The women will be judged on appearance in swim wear, and evening gowns, as well as on a talent segment and private interviews Four runnersup and the queen will be chosen. Miss North Ogden will receive a $300 scholarship. The first and second runnersup will each receive a $100 scholarship and the third and fourth runnersup each will receive $50. Hope of America was begun four years ago in North Ogden, but the awards are given throughout the county now. Selection is made by the sixth grade teachers in each school The Hope of America honors outstanding students for their leadership and academic avilities at the grade and approval is then given by the principals. Thus far, awards have been given to studentss at Lomond View Elementary in Pleasant View, and to students at North Ogden Elementary. Students will be honored at Bated Elementary this week.
