Show SPAY, AUGUST 24, 2011 DIXIE SUN support crucial for Obama rated, Limbaugh said specifically in an interview with Sean Hannity on Jan. 21,2009, I want Obama to fail. This attitude is g to me. Obama is someone in authority, and it is disrespectful and for people to treat him and talk to him as they do. I feel like showing such disrespect toward Obama is like showing such disrespect for your grandma, the Pope, or even God. Obviously, I am a Democrat. I believe in Obama and I want him to succeed. I believe his policies that he has put into place are crucial for our country, but that stuff only matters so much. I think both political parties are being ridiculous and need to stop fighting over who is better. We are one country. Obama said in the interview with Blitzer, What the people want to see is Democrats and Republicans putting country before party and going ahead and taking action in order to move the economy for PUTNAM SHLEY A&EEditor am a President Barack Obama I . r 1 f ,v L mind-blowin- fan, despite contro- - , anti-patrio- tic believe he de- be treated with I t0 dignity. and and I Obama, good preside has a good heart for him- not in this is a Democratic is in this for , Obama He tries to do :;Untry. the for American peo-nhic- h is more to say for the the majority of the politics. je in president is the ,.gt job on earth, said in an Aug. 16 ftiflg j with Wolf interview are going of challenges now, and when you Resident of tlie United lot a Jgh account- s,you feel ed responsible for ij, single thing that hap-- , You want to make doing right by are you people. that some ;iipolicies you put in behave actually made differences in 'ijnerican . . ward as quickly as possi- ble. Some people claim that Obama is the reason for our economic turmoil, but hes only been in office for two and a half years. The economy could not have crashed in that amount of time. This has been a long process, and I believe that if we should blame anyone for the downward spiral the USA has gone through in the last few years, maybe we should blame the former president of the United States. This all started with him. Of course 1 plan to vote for Obama for president again. Who is a better ? choice, Michele Bach-mann- Bachmann said in a political rally airing on CNN this week: It really isnt that hard to turn the economy around. . . all you have to do is prioritize spending and put a cap on it and say thats it and no more. So, what is she planning on cutting? Trillions of dollars arent easy to just not spend, especially when the money is being continued from page 10 etc. I cant find where she has said what she is planning on cutting, and believe me, I have been looking. It could be education. Honestly, cutting trillions of dollars, I assume education will take a hard hit. It already has. Without educated people, less people will have jobs, the money will go back to the rich people in the country, and well have people like Bachmann trying to run for president. The past is gone, so if you had a gripe with Obama (because you were misinfonned), leave it in the past because you are stuck with him for at least another year (or five if I have it my way.) The future is forever away, and the election is still in the distance. So right now, lets respect America together, and join together to help make our country the best it can be. Besides, we could have a worse president. That means the top 1 percent of Americans hold more wealth than the bottom 90 percent combined. This means that America has a less equal wealth distribution than Nigeria, Iran or the Ivory Coast. It appears the land of op- portunity is anything but. The problem is that most Americans dont see themselves as the disenfranchised poor, but instead as currently out of luck millionaires. Our television portrays lavish lifestyles, and out of touch realities. In truth, only a Reform in the Obama Era, many Americans dont even realize that theyre benefit- ing from social programs. 39.8 percent of medicare recipients, 43.1 percent of pell grant recipients and 60 percent of home mortgage interest deduction recipients dont realize that these benefits are the direct result of government funding. Americans think this sort of wealth could be theirs, and that it will be someday, so why make a law that could hurt them down the line? Americans do have upward mobility of status, but that mobility is fading because it is dependent on our dwindling education system.
