Show DIXIE SUN -- ARTS 14 Whats & ENTERTAINMENT WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 26,2005 new on TV in 2005 BY NATE LAW Sun Staff Writer Dixie With the new year, new television shows, from suspense thrillers to high class comedies, tear up the rating charts. NBCs new hit drama Medium is about a lawyer, Allison Dubois (Patricia Arquette), that has had dreams since she was a little girl. She never quite knew what they meant. She then suspects that she can talk to the dead, read peoples thoughts, and see into the future. After realizing her abilities, she believes the visions will give her the upperhand in solving cases that are given to her. The show airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. Also from NBC comes the third season of The Apprentice. Airing Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Donald Trump chooses who gets to stay one more week, and who gets fired. This time around, its a battle between book smarts and street smarts. The winner of the show will receive a job with the Trump Organization, and a salary, according to nbc.com. Airing its fourth season, Alias comes back to ABC with the highly active CIA agent, Sydney (Jennifer Garner), who takes viewers on a wild adventure in solving different crimes throughout the world. While doing so, she and her learn valuable lessons they take with them in their daily lives. Fox has a new lineup that is sure to satisfy everyones needs. The new drama House" is about Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), who is an infectious disease specialist. He finds ways to solve problems and save peoples lives. He stops at nothing to find the right six-figu- WEDNE So medication to help a patient before another life is taken. From the creators of Family Guy comes the new animation American Dad. The show is about a CIA agent, Stan Smith, who will stop at nothing to protect is family and country. With his wife, Francine; rebellious daughter, Hayley; socially-inep- t BY The , out-spoke- n son, Steve; its ( German j ; speaking gold fish, Klaus; and alien friend that he saved from Area 51, Roger, Stan goes through different, hilarious adventures. Although the show doesnt premiere until May, a sneak preview show will be airing right after the Super Bowl on Feb. 6 on Fox. The year is full of new, exciting shows for everyone to enjoy.
