She has always felt a close relationship to the pioneers and to Dixie and 45 tries to express those feelings through her music. The purpose of our presentation is to give hope and inspiration, said Lalli. For me, words are best expressed when put to music. The presentation will highlight eight performers, including Lalli, her husband, Lee Lalli, and cowriter Haney. I have been pleased not only with the talents and abilities of our group, but with how they compliment one another as they tell the story of The Dixie in Me, said Lalli. The Dixie In Me has been performed in Provo, but Lalli wanted to take the performance to St. George, where the show is set. The Tabernacle agreed to host the show. She advises students who want to participate in this performance, to come early if they want a seat.
