I Now since this is the last issue, I thought that it would be important to include a review of this summers movie sensation. predicted to join it's prequel in the gross profit Michael Crichton has once again succeeded in creating a science fiction story that is so animated that it is destined to be a hit on the silver screen. The Lost World is the sequel to Jurassic Park and once again brought this audience member to the edge of her seat. The plot was kind of cliche, and rather bothered me that after all the problems of the previous project Hammond waited four years to warn anybody about "Site B." How predictable, and that he decides that it is intelligent to send a team of experts, again, into a habitat where these violent creatures are not fenced in and no animal control is in place. That seems logical to me. The plot (r-- ' a thickens when capitalism again comes into play, against the wishes of Hammond, and the ecosystem reacts violently. The film was not made for the weak of stomach however. The sequel took up the violence where the previous film left off. Wherea Jurassic Park cost only three deaths, Dr this film's casualties were innumer- u able, even the dog gets it in the end, which is better than the usual cliche movies. The casting was great, in addition to the fact that Jeff Goldblum is one of my favor actor is the world, and some say that I have a slight infati ation. There is nothing more annoying to me goign to see sequel in which the same actc are not starring again, it is so inconsistent. Jeff Goldblum, st has his dark aura with his same pessimistic attitude only increased This film assembled the best production team as well. Steven Spielben THE name in film directing, once again stole the imagination away to an alternate rea while John Williams, the king of soundtrack composition, told the tale with audio precision. The concluding third of the film sort of bothered me, prese ing a Harry and the Henderson's type of approach to the char Overall the film, balanced the suspense, and added humorous detail to break from the nail biting for laughter. ty, "l.1.- BRING YOUR BOOKS TO: A mi VJJ Ml l LAI STUDENT CENTER LI June 4 - 5 8 a.m. - 4 p.m June 6 8 a.m. - .
