Show March 4, 1997 The Dixie Sun Freshmen Week Review By ANDY NIELSEN Young and Wade Perkins CONTRIBUTING WRITER beat out 12 teams landing on top. The winners both received $10 gift certificates to Fiesta Fun, and a Pool Table Championship trophy. THE PRICE 1$ RIGHT It turned out really good for being held on a Monday night. The night was filled with great prizes that were donated by numerous contributors, like the DI, the Bookstore, and may other greatly appreciated people. If it wasn't for a few minor glitches in the program like, the big wheel breaking, lost totals from a few games, and a missing clock, everything would have been super. Everyone walked away a winner, and if they didn't get to claim any prizes, their reward was watching the FRESHMEN FEST '97 The beat was felt all over campus, as the freshman group the K.A.C.K.Y.'s jammed outside of the student center on Wednesday afternoon. The music drew the largest crowd ever for a band, even though the lead guitarist Jed Stout, said that he didn't think they played very well. I'd be scared to see what kind a crowd they can draw when they think they play good. Barker Beauties. FRESHMEN FASHIONS A bold statement is what the freshmen class are making with their groovy fashions. The Fresh Fashion Show was held POOL TABLE TOURNAMENT The competition was tough, at noon on Tuesday up-be- in Gardner Center, but a winner was claimed. Barry THl E at Thursday at noon, inside tire Gardner Center. All clothing was donated by Deseret Industries, and private contributors. It is plain to see that the freshman look is the fad of the future. JAMMY JAMM Jump into your jammies and janrm, that's what the students of Dixie did on Friday night after the basketball game. A lot of dancing and sock sliding topped off the the successful week honoring freshmen. THANK YOU'S We would like to thank the Freshmen Class Council, and all those who helped out or contributed.
