Such was the case on Friday night as the Lady Rebels hosted the Salt Lake Community College Bruins in the Burns arena. Trailing 72-7Sunny Myers blew past a Lady Bruin on a screen at the top of the key, and threw up a desperation trey as the buzzer went off. Nothing but net. The celebrations started, the crowd cheered, and the entire Rebel 0, ot the floor in one big group hug, just as the referee said, "Two Katie Welsh, and Myers' put the Rebels up by one. Sorenson got anothfree-thro- points." The Rebels shot only 31 percent from the field, and SLCC shot 41 percent in the opening half, making only 12 of their shots. Shondell Robinson had the only three-pointof the first half. At halftime the Rebels were only down by two points. With 13.39 left in the game, Rebels up 47-4SLCC's Heidi Sorenson knocked in two of her game high 22 points, tying the er 5, game. Myers then got pushed to the ground by Athlete's of the uJeek w er bucket and Robinson answered with her final trey. After a couple more fouls, Betsy Fowler made two and tied the game. Laurie Crocker then added a three-poibucket putting Salt Lake up by three.
