"We plan to ha e a fund raiser or a service project to help raise money and get the area ready," said Slemboski about the future of the freshman park. To keep student unity, Slemboski tried to have activities that weren't centered around one group. The Band Fest and Disco Party were the major activities, and the service projects brought people together too. "I believe that when evervone is working for the same cause, it brings unity," Slemboski said. The sophomore class presidency had no platform in its campaign, but Comer handled the sophomore class agenda, prov ided students with activities and the sophomore class service project. ' Coiner and the sophomore presidency worked with REACFT during Red Ribbon Week. Comer also helped out with the fundraising for the new sidewalk on the Lower Quad. Comer said she had planned her share of activities for Dixie College students. Comer and her committee were in charge of the Luau, Saturday Night Fever, Morp, and other activities and dances. Dixie College, area high schools, and Senior Games, will share the cost of resurfacing the track. "Because Dixie College does not have a rack team, and the track is under way, we decided to go for a different goal," slid Sarah Rhodes, freshman class vice president. "We are in the process of working on a women's soccer field." The details for the soccer field are not complete, but will hopefully be worked out in the next few w'eeks.
