Show Guys and Dolls needed for Dixie theatre play James and Pahnke provide entertainment with spirit Do we know who we aje and whose we are? This serious question was posed at the end of the Steve James and Vicky Pahnke concert held Thursday, at the LDS Institute. The concert was entitled On That Day. Tie'll Come Again. Although the evening ended on a spiritual note, the first of the performance were three-quarte- filled with laughter as James and Pahnke entertained with music. The two opened the concert with several original songs and then Pahnke gave James the stage to get his restlessness out of his system." Interested Dixie College students may want to use the approaching holidays to prepare for auditions for Dixie College Theatre's auditions for the musical Guys and Dolls. Auditions are scheduled to begin on the first day of Winter Quarter 1994, January 3, at 3 P.M., in the Graff Fine Arts Theatre and run daily at the same time through January 5. On the first day of auditions, participants will read from Waiting For You); Beauty and the Dweeb; referring to his past girlfriend and her new love; and You Want to Trip the Girl, a familiar tune for Little Mermaid fans. James ended scene one of his joking with a version of I Will Always Love You that would have made Whitney Houston and Dolly Parton sick. The beautiful love song took on an entirely new feel when sung in an Elmer Fudd voice. With the crowd awake and enjoying themselves, Pahnke joined James on stage to share a few of their own songs. Pahnke and James each treated the crowd to solo love songs from their current albums, then sang If I Believe together. In Review: By Kim Cole Sun Assistant Editor In Review.
