I was also told that the term SnowBird is what the St. George natives called these people. As I soon learned a SnowBird is a person who is usually retired and winters in a warm southern and climate summers in a cooler climate. But it wasnt until I was driving around St. George that I came to the conclusion that the term SnowBird is an inadequate description. A more appropriate description at first, is SLOWBIRDS, being stuck behind a four door Oldsmobile was new and somewhat of a novelty.
