Show December r. 1986 DIXIE SUN Page A WS plans Disneyland excursion by Eddy Vicente Make a date with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto on Friday, December 12 when the AWS organization invites everyone to travel with them to the wonderful world of Disney. Faculty, staff, and especially students, are encouraged to make this special destination trip to Disneyland in efforts to create a memorable occasion for both young and old alike. According to the AWS advisor, Sallie Cooper, the journey to Walts Creation1 one will ask for thirty-fiv- e dollar bills to cover costs at the golden entrance. This will include ten dollars which will automatically be used to reserve seating for each mouseketeer. The chartered buses will depart from Dixie Port early Friday morning at 12:30 and will return around morning (in time for the 9:00-Saturda- Disney Sunday Movie on channel 4). Its important students reserve a seat in advance so that we can be sure of that the how many people will be replied Cooper after discovering that many people began making arrangements the day before on the last trip. We hope this wont happen and we encourage everyone whos anyone to accompany us to Disneyland for a zippity-doo-d- a day! thirty-fiv- e b Musical auditions to start January 5th Eddy Vicente Auditions for the Dixie College musical, OLIVER, will begin Monday, January 5. According to Director C. Paul will Andersen, reading be held first followed by singing auditions on the 6th, and dancing auditions on the 7th. The reading auditions wont require any advanced preparations, however, a copy of the script for OLIVER has been reserved at the college library for those who wish to read the play in advance. Students who desire a singing role should prepare a vocal number to present during the auditions. Dr. Andersen will be assisted in the production by Mrs. Roene DiFiore, Vocal Director, and Dr. Ronald Garner, Orchestra Conductor. Brent Hansen is the designer. Dixie College students and others who are interested in working in various areas of the production may contact Dr. Andersen or his assistants for further information.
