THE DIXIE SUN has been the newspaper voice of Dixie College for 27 years and has fluctuated from a monthly, to nearly weekly, back to weekly, as it is at the present time. In addition weve seen 4 page papers, 8 pages, 12 pages and even 16 pages, once in a great while. However, over all those years, THE SUN has never seen a 20 page issue, before the one youre now reading. Volume 27, number 14 will go down in history as the largest paper ever printed by the DIXIE SUN staff. Credit for this extra fine effort must go especially to the editor, Debbie Magill, who, through her quiet effective manner, has been able to draw the very best from every staff member. In addition, the advertising managers, Jay Tomlin and Stephen Ellis, because of the hard work they have put in, selling the ads you see today, have made this issue financially possible. ol in Every individual worked long into the night Wednesday, and returned at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, to complete the final issue of the year, camera ready copy. Staff members Eddy Vincente, Mark Rasmussen, Jill Mowrey, Julie Fuller, Chad Ballard, sports editor Brad Fullmer and Ann Ellisadvertising wife, were all especially Kris effective for this last issue. hero of Perhaps the g the staff this entire quarter, has been Gary Galley, who, on his own time, has done all of the process camera work needed for each edition of THE DIXun-sun- IE SUN.
