From this list, the outstanding freshman and sophomore male and females will be chosen and recognized during the Rebel Awards program to Monday evening. The first year students of the Flight Attendant Program received their wings, and other awards were presented to various students. Wendy Richards, a sophomore at Dixie College, received an award for Aviation Hi-Lit- outstanding academic achievement, that she is completing the program in one years time. Chris Mousley and Tracy Cochrane, freshmen at Dixie, were recognized for their high appearance standards throughout the year, and Tammy Sanderson was given an award for always going the extra mile and being willing to serve at a banquet at a minutes notice. Other scheduled activities included a luncheon, seminars and an evening talent show. Debbie Wood, freshman from Salt Lake City, served as general chairman of the event. Other committee members included Tami Krug, Cheryl Degen, Linda Shannon Peterson, Diane Poulson, Denise Nickell, Sherri Braithwaite, Diana Page, Becky Memmott, Cindy Acord, Elaine Lisa Barnard, Joni Pingree, Roberts, Lisa Hafen, Carolee Cook and Susan Jackson. Activities Friday afternoon began with the Soda Social, and continued with a party at the sand dunes in Snow Canyon State Park. . 2 The new Executive Council for the 1982 83 school year was announced Monday, May 3rd. President Bruce Paul Woodbury and Reber interviewed approximately 45 candidates for the seven positions. Chairman - Ned Hafen Vice-Preside- The new Executive Council will be sworn in Tuesday morning, May 1 1 , 1982. Phi Thetj Kappa Initiations Invitations are now being sent out to all those students who have qualified to join Phi Theta Kappa (National Honor Society). The initiation ceremonies will begin at 7 :30 p m. on Tuesday, May 1 1 in the Sun Room of the Student Union Building. Immediately following initiation of new members, there will be a general meeting for all members of PTK. This meeting will be of importance for members who are graduating for it will be at this time that the official PTK Honors Stole must be ordered. For returning students in PTK this meeting will be the chance to participate in deciding next years officers as well as applying for PTK scholarship. |
