Show SEPOEHTS October 24, 980 - THE DIXIE SUN 1 Golfers read DIXIE HOSTS RICKS COLLEGE FOR HOMECOMING The Dixie College Rebels are eagerly looking forward to a Homecoming confrontation with Ricks College this Saturday in the Sun Bowl. They have had two weeks to prepare for the game and are looking ahead to a more competitive match than the last encounter with Ricks when the score was 44-"Our attitude really is states Lee quite good, Potts, a defensive tackle from West High in Salt Lake City, our morale has always remained high. Juan Henderson, an outstanding freshman tailback from Valley High in Las Vegas, feels that the football team is young and in a rebuilding year. This is the first time I have been on a ir ir Henderson losing team, confessed, you would think most teams would give up, yet we try harder every week. We should have won a few games, but that's how it goes when you are a young team. I feel that both of our home games (Snow and Arizona Western) have been our best ones, commented Fred Lacey, an agressive and quick sophomore defensive back from Layton High. It really makes a difference playing to the home crowd. Bryan Wick, a sophomore linebacker also from Layton High, states, Laceys experience and determination to win have added greatly to the overall performance of the team. Im sure that next year with a years - Page 8 experi- ence behind them, Dixie will have a championship team. The team is good this year. The coaches have worked hard and so have the kids. All this will pay off next year for those who return. With Ricks Rocky David Hansen, Tood Buie, Steven Dennison, and Blake Woods off the team for of the school's personnel code of ethics, Dixie might have an unexpected edge over Ricks. A win would help turn the tide against the Rebels, and would help boost the confidence and loyalty that seems the unwavering among Dixie Football team members.
