For our program, there was a variety of music from western to modern, with costumes to match. The Young Ambassadors thrilled the Max Rose and THRILL AUDIENCE audience. For me it was really a treat to see the dancers twirling and swinging to some of my favorite tunes, the music loud and invigorating, and the gay costumes. They really made me appreciate the fact that it is possible for me to be able to participate in cultural events. I'm sure that many of the students welcomed the experience of seeing the and we Young Ambassadors, would like to thank whoever it was that contacted them. Mike Wood- SO XK ward, notorious college teachers, joked their way through the Master of Ceremonies job. Richard Sanchez helped as drummer, and was an added attraction while sweeping the floors with Geary Laitinen. Everyone's efforts helped make the Rebelettes' final performance for the year an outstanding one. The Bank That Does More For DIXIE STATE BANK Presents SHE UEUSE Student Fees Explained Gerber Due to the unremitting work of our Studentbody President, Roger Nuttall, the $5 student service fee has been eliminated for next year. Instead, there will be $2 added which will be used for student government. This will go for such things as more and better movies, more activities duirng Homecoming and 'D' Week, and better publicity for school affairs. This money will make it less expensive for students and their various func- tions. It is estimated that approximately 75 of the $2 will go to the Drama Department, (this will eliminate their need for a budget) 750 for women's athletics (they've never had a budget) and 500 will go for student activities. The student service fee was originally a set lab fee that everyone had to pay, regardless of whether he had labs. Doing it this way made it so that some had more than their share of the money, while others weren't using any. This way, each student will pay for his own lab fees. Nuttall should be Roger sincerely congratulated for the great work he's doing. You REBEL OF THE WEEK As Dixie's pitcher, he won both games against CEU. Congratulations Dandy Polluck. DANDY POLLUCK c |
