Show Dixie Sun Welcomes Rebels Karly Registration Successfull President Roger Nuttall ASDC Presidents Letter you to Dixie College for a year of progress in both academic and social life. It is a great privilege to serve you as your ASDC President, and I solicit your support and help to better serve you in this coming year. We have outlined and planned many activities for you, and we ask you to support the activities, functions, and athletics by your attendance. During the past few years the word "apathy" has become a familiar word on campuses America and the throughout world. This apathy has been increasing at a phenomonal rate among the colleges and universities in the United States. We feel that the cure for this disease is "Personal Student Involvement". It does not matter who someone is or what he is, the thing that matters is what he accomplishes with what he's got no matter how small the task. As your student representatives and officers we cannot force you, beg you, or expect you to enjoy your school life unless you, yourself, become personally involved doing your "own thing" in school leadership, activities, and functions. We encourage you to enin activities, clubs, or gage organizations which are of service to others and that will help you to develop your personal interests and talents. My function as your ASDC president is to represent you on the President's Council, Athletic and Financial Aids Council, Committee. Registration will take place on Monday, September 24 in the gymnasium. Admission will be given upon presentation of the paid fee receipt and in the alphabetic sequence described in the Fall Quarter Class Schedule. Students who have not received a Permit to Register should stop at the Registrar's office in the north wing of the administration building as soon as possible. Students are also reminded that registration will continue and classes may be added to schedules until October 9, 1973. Classes may be dropped any time during the quarter but the process must be done through the Registrar's office, and not through the class instructor. All students have been assigned an academic advisor. These advisors will be available for consultation at the gymnasium on September 24. The time spent between here and Salt Lake City is also great. In fact, it was rumored among some of the students last year that I was seen on campus a couple of times. In fact, it will be within the next two or three weeks. The program is rather boring, but it eases my conscience because, if after the assembly you don't know who the President is, it's not my fault. Although my exterior is not impressive the inner man is filled with Dixie pride. Let's get better acquainted. life, you must also absorb the famous Dixie spirit.
