The Dixie College Fine Arts Dept, will present its annual dance concert Dec. 15, at S:3U in the college auditorium, according to Mr. Juan Valenzuela, director of the dance department. The program, entitled Les Enfant de Noel. is being performed this year in conjunction with the orchestra directed by Mr. Ronald Garner and the A Cappella choir under under Mr. William Purdy's direction. This combination of dance, and instrumental and vocal music will be a rare opportunity for St. George residents since generally such efforts are available only in more petropolitan areas with greater facilities. Included in this years program will be dances based on traditional Christmas favorites such as Silent Night. Wc Wish You A Merry numbers such as Christmas, and Jingle Bells, as well as seldom-hearDebussy's Snow Is Falling and Dance of The Dolls. Approximately 80 students of all ages will be dancing. THIS COMBINED effort of dance, instrumental and vocal music represents another step in the integration of the Fine Arts Department at Dixie College. It is the philosophy of the department that dance, music, speech, literature, and art complement cacti other and although each can function alone, their combined effect is much greater for the participators as well as the audience. The support of Southern Utah fine arts enthusiasts is fast making St. George a cultural center of Utah, thus affording many young students the opportunity for experience, growth and development. d Gardner Dixie Chorus To Sing Annual Xmas Concert i Chorus will conChristmas present its annual in the cert on December 13 at 8:00 Tabernacle. Speaking of pennies drop your contribution into the money bottles set up by the AMS and AWS for the big Christmas Drive. "It is better to GIVE than receive. Most of us have so much and we can easily give a little money to help someone to have a happier Christmas! Lets support the councils in this worthwhile cause. Oh Yes Jetettes we guess its about time we mentioned something about your neat sweaters, they look really sharp Speaking of sharp looking it seems like everyone on campus is beginning to get that Ivy look. Keds, ivy skirts, suits and blazers are popping up everywhere. The Juniors in High School seem to be walking around in a haze of crepe paper, pins, paint and paste. You know that their big Junior Prom "Enchanted Garden is coming up on the 11th of December. Remember to support the big Mardi Gras sponsored by AMS and AWS for the Christmas Drive tonight in the Recreation Hall.
