Vice-Preside- About This Issue Civilization depends on order, on system, and on organization. People who know the rules make fewer mistakes and go further faster. This issue of the school paper is designed principally to acquaint you with the rules which experience has demonstrated are most helpful in the smooth operation of Dixie College. If they do not do this and render the greatest service to the greatest number of a long period of time then they ought to be revised. It is expected that this publication, together with your student handbook, will enable all of you to find out how things are done here. We suggest that you read it carefully and that you then file it for future reference. Request For Change Of Grade Policy Well Keep Your A. In order that we might prevent students from exerting pressure on faculty members to change the grades, the faculty by unanimous consent has agreed to the following procedure: Except that there is an obvious clerical error, a grade shall not be changed until the student has made a formal request in writing that this be considered by a committee composed of the teacher, the director of division and the Registrar. Should the committee wish to ask the student questions he should be available in order that the matter might be thoroughly discussed. The decision rendered by this committee shall be final.
