This tournament is to get underway immediately with the new Dixie College gymnasium to be utilized as the tournament center. Game times will be announced and the contests will be played evenings when the gym is not in use. At the close of this elimination tournament championship, consolation, and sportsmanship trophies will be awarded. Ten organizations plan to sponsor teams. They are as follows: Delta Psi Omega, Spanish Club, Lambda Lettermen's Delta Sigma, Club, Veterans Club, Dixie College National Guard Members, and three independent groups. The bam dance which is new to the college, is under the supervision of the sociability committee with Darylene Bentley, chairman. To create the correct atmosphere, bales of hay, corn stalks, etcetera, will be placed around the dance floor. Music for the nights entertainment will be furnished by Kent Porters orchestra.
