Is Now that you have reached the age where responsibilities are being added upon you almost every day have you ever stopped in this furious rush of events to give serious thought to your responsibility as a driver of a motor vehicle ? Have you given careful analysis to the laws of this great state as to how they concern you? Do you realize the responsibility upon your shoulders when you drive out in the family car? Your parents have entrusted you with from two to six thousand dollars of property purchased after much toil and sacrafices and, of more value to them than the car, you yourself. Do you realize the many hours of lost sleep and worry you cause them waiting for your safe return? Do you realize one moment of carelessness can make that beautiful carriage a pile of junk a time of sadness and tears at a family funeral? Do you realize any unlawful act in traffic resulting in an accident could plunge those parents (who signed as responsible for your acts that you might have a drivers license) into the courts of the land with a grave possibility of them losing their lifes savings? Do you realize that accidents dont happen but are caused 90 per cent from violation of a traffic law? Do you appreciate the safe and careful driving of others using the highways ? Do you realize others appreciate you when you are a safe and careful driver? Do you realize that the part of the car that causes the most accidents is the NUT that holds the steering wheel? Yes, you have the responsibility of many lives including your own when you slide under the steering wheel of a car and press that number ten down on the gas. It is ALL up to YOU. Tolerance is lost in ugly retorts from tired clerks and wild jabs from a greedy mob in the mad Christmas rush which begins early in November.
