Show 4 DIXIE COLLEGE, THE DIXIE SUN NEWS AND HIGHLIGHTS By Dick Earl Once upon a time in the land there was a knight in shining armor. This knight went into battle four times and was beaten, but as in all good fairy tales, he went into battle again and won and then won again. He just kept on winning until the people of the kingdom were the happiest people in the world. This may sound like a fairj tale, but the way the Dixie Flyers Division crown won the Dixie was just like a fairy tale too. After much screaming by citizens of the kingdom, the Flyers were victorious against the Hurricane Tigers. They got their chance by defeating Cedar City Saturday a' Hut ricane. Sherm llalen, Junior Seegmlller, 'Doodle Wlttwer, and Garry Wayne Graff, along with the rest of the sciuad, deserve all the honors of the day. I know the school is behind the team as they go to tho tournament. The Dixie Rebels were not idle in their final week of play either. The game was a thriller, and the Dixie Rebels were victorious by one point The popular boy and girl contest held last week was a big success. These fellows, in the short time most of them have been here, have steadily and persistently carved a niche for themselves in the hearts of all of us here. They have persistently attended classes and learned their lessons. They have been at the basketball games, cheering and supporting the home team. They have been to the school dances, lounged on the lawns, and made themselves known in all corners of the Dixie campus. lien these fellows left two years ago to go on their missions, they realized that their time at home would be short. It has, in tact, been longer than for some others, but still, it has been far too short. With tho winning ol the Dixie District basketball title, we feel that we have chosen a personality tins week that is very appropriate.
