Not needing any urging or persuasion: give you greetings from a heart With joy beyond my power to expiess For all these gifts with which our land is filled, For all of Natures potent loveliness. I well-thrill- ed And most for all for steadfast pioneers Who set their hands to tasks of mammoth size, That we who followed in the after years Might find the way to tiuth, not aught despise. if This anniversary of our Dixie College Bespeaks a monumental thought to me; Within these walls a score of years of knowledge And tiaining tell what future years may be. 1 This first score, this our Silver Celebration Suggests the sterling value of our name.
