RUSSIAN MUSIC Since the World War, Russian music has been steadily growing in popularity throughout the United States. This music carries with it several distinct and interesting characteristics. The great mass of the Russian people have lived for ages in They have eked out a poor miserable existance being constantly held down by a y. corrupt administration, that at every turn has used them as tools for its own advancement. Yet amid all their poverty and ignorance there has been an inner soul that has ever looked and hoped for a better day. In its strange and varied rhythms, the music of Russia has attempted to interpret the life of its people. It leads to extremes of savage gaiety and profound melancholy. It strives to 8h i X ference. Today all nations are launching programs for a formidable air fleet. The United States is in the list and hopes soon to be in advance of all other nations in the science of air navigation.
