I promise to do all that is in my power, to make this year for the Dixie Normal College, the greatest of all years, not only in athletics but in every other line that will bring honor and praise to our school. Of our Washington County boys who are now wearing uniforms, forty-tw- o out of sixty-fou- r are students of the Dixie. being in the lead as we always are, we intend to continue, and will therefore put out a better year-boo- k than any other institution in the state. will be dedicated Our year-boo- k to Our Soldier Boys. Our national colors will be our cover design and we will insert many colored plates. Count your school year a failure if you dont get a copy of this year-boo- ments this year will not serve merely to kill time, to dull your faculties and banish your reflections but rather to awaken your understanding, and afford you needed pleasure and lively diversion. We shall prosecute each case to the best of our ability, showing partiality to none whether he be great or small and none who is guilty shall escape his guilt. Year-Boo- k In as much as it is necessary that the students of the Dixie Normal College occasionally relax from their hard mental labor and give moderate pleasure to the mind and .spirit, and in as much as it devolves upon me to furnish this pleasure, I am at your service. I lack only the cap and bells, and the wit and excellent fancy of the ancient jester in my ability to furnish you amusements. The things that are worth while must come from you fellow students, so bring your light from under the bushel, carry your good times with you and we will make a success.
