H Lund of the tho First Presidency and several other church officers from Manti Man Man- ti and other cities in this county were present and spoke feelingly of th the many excellent llen qualities of the noble noblewoman's noblewoman's I womans woman's character Three years ago Mrs Christensen celebrated her golden wedding She was born bom at Norway Nov 13 13 1834 and united with the Latter Day Saints church in September Septem Septem- ber 1854 being the first female m member member mem mem- m. m ber of the branch of the church which was later organized in that city She emigrated to America in 1857 and while on board the sailing vessel ves Westmoreland was married to Mr Ir Christensen by Elder John Ka Kay They arrived in Salt Lake Lako City on Sept 13 of the same year She was the mother of seven childr children children child child- r ren n six of whom survive her She was also th the grandmother of thirty thirty- six children and had ono one great eat grand grand- child |
