This year in Utah, the fetes are scheduled as closely as possible to the release of the new vintage of Beaujolais. NOUVEAU BEAUJOLAIS IS not a premium wine, rather it is the new wine which has been resting in the vats only since the recent crush. It is traditionally drunk from the barrel. In Paris, on Nov. 15, the barrels arrive to wild rejoicing. Wine lovers line the streets to wave in the new crop and its debut is heralded by connoisseurs. Although there is variation from vintage to vintage like all other wines, the Nouveau is meant to be confused immediately. Only a few of the cru wines of The background of Beaujolais wine is often confusing. Do not mistake it with other wines of Burgundy. Beaujolais, pronounced comes from a specific district south of Beaune and north of Lyon, France, but still in the Burgundy area. The light red fruity wine of the Gamay Beaujolais grape is very different from the Pinot Noir grown in and associated with the major part of the Burgundy area. There are, however, some cru Beaujolais, such as Fluerie, Morgon, and Brouilly, to In Utah, there are bottles of the Nouveau Beaujolais available in the wine stores at Trolley and Ivy Place at release time. There is also the cru Beaujolais accessible on a year round basis. Each wine can be recommended for different reasons. The Nouveau is meant to be qualified with food and isn't really a wine to taste or dawdle over; whereas, the cru Beaujolais is a good choice of a wine for tasting and learning about the wines of Burgunay. Whatever your choice, the wines are here. Beaujolais benefit from age, and then from only a year or two. r3 Theme crossword By William Lutwiniak THE GRADUATE ACROSS I No use 5 Take French leave 11 Reference work 16 Kind of lily 17 Embodiment 18 NFL team 20 Graduate's achievement: 2 wds.
