Sitting in hor office in the Dakota Building here, Ono said that at some point she would meet with a few reporters to answer any questions that have been raised by the books. Until then, she said she prefers not to comment on the incidents described in the books, trusting that readers will sort out the truth for themselves. "1 still believe in karma . . ," she said. "By projecting the positive, I can do more to add to the positiveness around us. Tabloid-Leve- l Tales But it was clear that Ono has been hurt by the tabloid-leve- l tales outlined in books like John Greens Dakota Days." Where The Love You Make" touches on the Lennons only as part of a larger Beatles biography, the other books are centered on the couple's relationship. Green describes an atmosphere of jealousy and paranoia in the Dakota apartment, which he visited in the 70s as a tarot reader employed by Ono. Pang's account will not be published by Warner Books until next month, but excerpts are running in US magazine, which recently teased dereaders with this front-covscription of the "explosive book: "Take him, Yoko said. She said she had planned to finish the LP last year, but she found it too difficult at the time to listen to Lennon's voice, so she went ahead with her own solo album, "It's Alright. As with "Double Fantasy," the couples 1980 LP, "Milk and Honey features five tracks written by Lennon and five written by Ono. The songs will probably be sequenced so that one number by each is paired to form a series of dialogues: a Lennon expression of doubt ("I Dont Want to Face followed by an Ono statement of reassurance ("Dont Be them. Complex Financial Struggle Besides the strain of the books and the continuing, complex financial struggle to sort out all the Beatles finances, Ono is still plagued by the horror of her husbands death. Nothing Left "We finally got to where we would just laugh because we figured there was just nothing left for them to write about, she said. Ono said she began noticing that some outrageous" stories started appearing again around the first anniversary of Lennofn's death. Some were so "excruciatingly painful" that she decided to just stop reading jeans and a purple she seemed philosophical, speaking about the books as if they were almost an inevitable part of some kind of emotional cleansing written by Lennon in response to Onos "Let Me Count the Ways." which will also be on "Milk and Hon From time to time, she would cross the large den to see what he had written for her on the computer. She even brought out a copy of a school report on how well Sean was doing. In a room still filled with photos and other memorabilia from the Lennon years, Ono recalled how she and Lennon eventually learned to deal with hostility and sometimes outlandish media tales in the days after the Beatles breakup.
