Show COUNTY COURT tle the board of county commissioners of box elder county met in brigham city january 13 1913 pursuant to adjournment heretofore here made mad all members being present commissioner roche made a report of the gravel being hauled by B 0 jeppson in rawlins precinct and stated that the material in fit the upper pit Is not good and that the pit where he is working at the present time contains gravel which Is preferred to the oiher under existing conditions it is impossible to remove the top soil and he told mr jeppson to haul the material and mix it as well as possible upon motion duly seconded the report is accepted thomas udy and john oyler appeared and asked that the county allow something lor for powder and work which is necessary to break the material loose in the pit at east garland upon motion of alan roche and duly seconded the price for gravel to be hauled to fielding be fixed at per yard aud and that the price of the gravel 10 to lo be hauled at east garland be fixed at 40 0 cents yard for the first halt half a mile that no further graveling be done except that which has been begun and granted until roche and conley shall have had time to inspect the road further and further that the coun ty furnish the powder and help necessary to break the gravel loose said motion is granted E W dunn appeared and stated that their firm would record all instruments in the recorders office tor for 63 per month said matter is deterred deferred oluff jenson and others appeared la in fryor fayer ot of a petition of residents of calls fort foi t road district asking tor for an appropriation for the county road running west from calls fort foit and east of bear river city upon motion of 0 commissioner roche and duly seconded petition is ordered filed to be considered at such time as the they can de T cs 3 ff 1 r i i ter e what is needed J P Ifo lingren and C C johnson appeared and asked for an appropriation tor for tile the county road running thru bear river city and north upon mo tion said request is deterred deferred tor for future investigation and action tile the report ol of road coar P N pierce Is considered and upon motion refined back to the said road commissioner miss ioDer to furnish further information as to where there the tools mentioned in his report as belonging to the county are arc and as to whether or not there are any materials such as lumber etc which belong to the county and where it ft is said information to be furnished without further expense to the county mr at 0 the mountain states tel tel Com company paDy appeared and offered some suggestions so as to take care of the county business over the various telephone lines of the county C J burke having been duly elec et ed as justice of the peace of lucin precinct and having refused to qualify the bleik is requested to write C C herrington to ascertain whether or not he would accept accent sal sail effice petition ic A reside vs bom cals cd s fort foil asking that george eorge may be appointed road supervisor supervisor for said precinct is presented aud and upon motion deferred petition flom residents of west portage asking tor for the appoint mea meW of J W li alford as road supervisor for portage precinct Is presented and upon motion deferred petition from residents ot of riverside asking for the appointment of J 1 B D as road supervisor for said road district is deterred deferred application of county assessor lorenzo pett for the ratification of the appointment of deputy assessors and assistants in his office having been heretofore deferred is now considered coar conley motioned that the appointments point ments of 0 said assessor be ratified said motion is denied blackburn and roche hoche voting against upon motion of conar roche the following appointments point ments were made to wit C C toyn I 1 A jensen M C hoist J 11 II burton J W palmer J A woodworth 11 M holler A E Zu zundel ridel noble Hun hunaaker R C harris thaddeus I 1 wight henry L torn J IIII 1111 boothe I 1 il E larsen john ward and zina jensen assistant in the office are ratified the application of amber harrison hamson as county stenographer having been heretofore deferred it Is now considered and upon motion granted at tho the present salary the application ot of county attorney tor for the appointment of beatrice brown as stenographer in said office having havin been heretofore deferred it is now considered and upon motion denied the monthly report of the county treasurer having been heretofore referred back is again presented and amended and upon M motion duly accepted ordered that the board stand adjourned |
