They decided the moose definately had the right of way. And the large animals are not the only ones creating interesting problems for mountain bikers. Once Gronseth was almost startled into a crash by a grouse which boomed out of the brush just in front of his wheel. The loud clattering of the bird eraild unnerve even the most calm bicyclist. The mountain bike provides transportation to Gronseth when conditions are too poor to ride a normal He uses it when the snow on Salt Lakes avenues has caused a virtual standstill of auto traf.ic.
