Connelly urged all to govern them ' selves well ere they attempt to govern others, relating incidents in the lives of of great men to prove her point. Elder Hart regretted the slight confusion con-fusion resulting from the convention sessions held. He expressed himself as deploring the use of tobacco and liquor remarking that leading employers of men were no longer using mm addicted to these vices. The session was brought to a close by the choir singing, "Lord,T:iou Wilt Hear Me," and prayer by Elder Andrew Andersen. SUNDAY AFTERNOON The session opened witn the hvmn"Lo the Mighty G jd. " Prayer by Elder A-J. A-J. Broderick. Singing, "Come Listen to a Prophet's Voice. Following the Sacramental exercises winch were conducted with remarkable order, the general and stake authorities were presented and sustained Elder Peter E. Johnson, who leaves in the very near future for the European 1 mission t.eld, spoke very interestingly for a time. Mrs. Rose Leonard sang a beautiful solo. Elder Lund, speaking, also directed attention to the evils of tobacco and li quor as destroyers of the best energies of all who indulged in them. Elder Hart discussed the sacramental rites and explained some of the purposes purpos-es of the same. He bore an earnest testimony to the divine inspiration enjoyed en-joyed by Pres. Smith, and, concluding, spoke on tithing, picturing the sad state of affairs that wouid exist were the tithing system of the church en-I en-I tirely done away with. Pres. Oveson, in concluding, thanked i the good saints of Hunting'tor for their ! unexcelled hospitality and Chorister ; Fowler and his singers for their beauti-; beauti-; f ul music. The choir sang the anthem "Let us Sing Unto The Lord." and the benediction benedic-tion was offered bv Elder James Petersen. Peter-sen. A Conjoint M. I. A. and Religion Class meeting, scheduled for Sunday evening was held at the close of the afternoon meeting to permit conference attendants reaching home earlier. Pres. Hans .A.Wickman of the Y. M. M. I. A. conducted- the exercises. A c i a-, "Sweet ;:nd Low" was rendered and Pres. AlmaG. Jew kes offered the invocation. in-vocation. Mrs. Connelly discussed the subjt-ct "The Joy of Living the Gospel." A verv pleasing duet was next render-ed render-ed by a couple of Huntington sisters. Elder Lund was always proud of the Church. The Mutuals are a safeguard for our young people. A chorus "For get-me-not," was next given. I Pres. Hart said that the spirit of the j Lord should be in ail Mutual work in-j in-j struction.
