Show SUCAR BEET MEETINGS NOW THE ORDER j Sugar beet meetings in every agricultural agri-cultural community in Emery and Carbon Car-bon counties will be the order for the next week, followed by a whirlwind campaign to secure sufficient sugar' beet acreage for the years 1917-18 19 to induce the erection of a sugar factory and the construction of a railroad through the valley. i Two thousand agreements to be sign- ed by prospective sugar beet growers ' arrived this week and are now in the hands of the committeemen of whom there is one in each community and these men will have charge of the canvassing can-vassing for acreage in their territory. The agreements provide that neither party to the contract hall be bound by any of the provisions of the same if the company does not, before .Ian. 1st, 1917, ' notify each prospective grower of its j decision to proceed with the erection of 1 a factory at some point to be selected. I All the agreements must be signed and be sent in as early as possible so ' that the information may be tabulated ' and in the hands of the sugar company j by June 1st. The company will then ' proceed with their plans for inducing ; capital to construct a railroad and fac ' tory. The Austin brothers are busy : with these plans now and it is only left for us to do our part.
