from operation were just over 15 3 per cent of the total gross operating revenues the net revenue credited to the opera tlons In this state are almost exactly 20 per cent of the company's total net revenue :: a This is shown in the annual report of the company filed with the public Utilities commission Tuesday There are 65143 stations of the company In Utah the report shows a "station" being the instrument in the private home business office or elsewhere There are 435732 on the system which includes seven states from Montana and Idaho on the north to Arizona and New Mexico on the south Gross to the company revenues from Utah operations are reported as $3419000 in 1931 and from the system $22 343000 The latter figure was $630 000 less than the gross for of less than 3 per cent Operating expenses In the state were $2 255000 and for the system $14937000 the latter figure being a decrease of $135000 from the 1930 operating costs The company paid $2300 000 in taxes during 1931 of which $231865 went to Utah This leaves an operating lneome of $812 000 for the state and $504 3 000 for the system the latter being $537-0less than In 1930 Interest and rent deductions bring the net income down to $769313 13 for the Utah plant and $3848200 for the system While this was $868000 less than the company’s net Income for 1930 the dividends paid out of $3844000 show an increase of $121000 for
