| Show THE SALT LAKE TRIBUNE RELIEF GROUP v Involves Permit for Soda Plant of Utah Electric Firm Hearings will be held Saturday at Washington according to a special dispatch to The Tribune on the ap plication of the Utah Power & Light company for a permit for its Soda power unit on the Bear river It was explained by Ralf R Wool ley government engineer who is the Utah representative of the federal power commission which has set the hearings that the issue concerns the validity of the capital investment set up as returned by the power company The government questions the ac curacy and correctness of including certain items in the capital cost of the plant The 50 year license issued under the federal power act entitled the government to recapture the property at the end of the period if it cares to do so in preference to continuing the lease Hence the importance attached to determining the correct start from which to fix the value of the property at that time The state of Utah through Its treas urer A E Christensen received from the federal power commission Monday a warrant for $1358 97 which the power commission determined as the amount due the state for the fiscal year ending June 30 last under the federal water power act This Mr Woolley said represents 37 4 per cent of the monev collected by the govern ment agency from power leases in Utah during the year in question It is the largest and possibly the first check the state has received from this source Representatives from the twenty-siconstituent blue lodges will as semble m the Masonic temple Tuesday at
